Our story

Made for every day. Kept for a lifetime.

Fine jewellery that leaves the box on a Tuesday, not just on an anniversary.

About Website 98

We started with a simple idea: the most beautiful jewellery is the piece you forget to take off.

Website 98 is a small fine-jewellery studio. We design rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets around a single question — will this still feel right on the hundredth wear? If a curve catches on a sleeve, or a setting sits too high for daily life, we redraw it.

That is why our pieces look quiet at first glance. The detail is in the proportions: a band that tapers just enough, a prong that holds the stone without crowding it, a chain that falls flat against the skin. Small decisions, made carefully, so the piece can simply be worn.

The idea

Jewellery that fits into a real day.

Most of the jewellery people love is saved for occasions. We wanted to design the opposite: pieces with the materials and finish of fine jewellery, sized and shaped for desks, commutes, school runs and dinners.

Every design is tried on through ordinary days before it is released — typing, washing up, pulling on a coat. What survives that test becomes part of the collection.

The design

Drawn as a single curve.

Each piece begins as one line on paper — the sweep of a band, the drop of a pendant — and is refined until nothing needs to be added. Settings are kept low so stones sit close to the hand, and inner edges are rounded so rings feel comfortable all day.

We work in a restrained palette of platinum, white gold and yellow gold, with diamonds chosen for brightness rather than size alone.

The making

Finished by hand, at the bench.

Once a design is cast, the real work begins. Each piece is filed, set and polished by hand — hammers, files and polishing burrs doing the work that machines cannot do evenly.

Before anything leaves the studio it is checked under magnification: stones tight, prongs smooth, clasps closing cleanly. Only then is it packed and sent.

What we hold to

Four promises behind every piece.

  1. Designed to be worn

Low settings, rounded edges and balanced weight, so a piece can stay on from morning to night.

  2. Honest materials

Platinum and solid 18k gold — never plated — with each metal named clearly on every product.

  3. Finished by hand

Filing, setting and polishing are done at the bench, one piece at a time.

  4. Made to last

Built to be cleaned, resized and cared for over years, not replaced after a season.

Materials

Three metals. Chosen with care.

Every design is offered in the metal that suits it best. Each one wears a little differently — here is how to choose.

  • Platinum solitaire ring and stud earrings on pale stone

    Platinum

Naturally white, dense and hard-wearing. It develops a soft patina over time and suits anyone who wants a piece that will outlast everything else in the jewellery box.

  • White gold solitaire ring and stud earrings on pale stone

    18k white gold

Bright and cool-toned, with a crisp finish that makes diamonds look their whitest. A classic choice for engagement rings and everyday bands.

  • Yellow gold solitaire ring and stud earrings on pale stone

    18k yellow gold

Warm, rich and quietly glowing. It flatters every skin tone and gives even the simplest silhouette a sense of occasion.

How a piece is made

From sketch to your hand.

  1. Sketch

A single line on paper, redrawn until the proportions feel effortless.

  2. Model

The design is modelled and tried on, then adjusted for comfort and balance.

  3. Cast

The piece is cast in platinum or solid 18k gold.

  4. Set & polish

Stones are set and every surface is filed and polished by hand.

  5. Inspect & send

Checked under magnification, then packed and sent to you.
